looking for a home

Sorry - this isn't an adoption story - but I am trying to find a hope for a cat. My ex-husband was killed in a motorcycle accident last Friday. He was medically retired from the US Army due to an injury. I am able to take his dog but unable to take the cat. The cat's name is Rain and she is 3 years old. She is scared of other people right now. So I think someone would need to work with her a little to help her. She is currently still in his house and there is a bad case of fleas. I am sure she has them because the dog did. Any help trying to find her a home would be appreciated.
